Tiny Tales: Firefly Night
Steph Waldo is a storyboard artist, freelance illustrator, and comics creator who graduated from Washington University in St. Louis and CalArts’ Character Animation Program. She is the author‑illustrator of this installment in the Tiny Tales early-reader comic series. Waldo lives in San Francisco with her husband and dog Zero, and enjoys hiking, traveling, and reading .
Sam and the Firefly
P. D. Eastman (1909–1986) was an American children’s author and illustrator, best known for Beginner Books like Go, Dog. Go! and Are You My Mother? His Sam and the Firefly was first published in 1958 and combines simple words with vivid illustrations to teach lessons about responsibility and friendship. A protege of Dr. Seuss, his books have sold over 50 million copies and remain beloved classics .

Chris and Martin Kratt, zoologists and creators of the Wild Kratts educational franchise, co-authored this storybook based on their popular PBS series. Eric Carle (1929–2021) was the celebrated author and illustrator of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and over 70 picture books.
