A Wonderful Surprise is an Easter-themed Bible memory picture book that helps young children learn that Jesus is King and celebrate the joy of his resurrection.
Centered on Luke 19:38, Sally Michael guides children through the final days of Jesus’s earthly ministry, from the crowds shouting “Hosanna!” as he entered Jerusalem to the wonderful surprise of Easter morning when Jesus rose from the dead. Through simple, engaging language, this book helps children understand that Jesus is the King of everyone and everything—and that his death and resurrection change everything.
Part of the Bible Verses to Remember series for ages 4–7, A Wonderful Surprise uses bright illustrations, repeated exposure to the verse, and thoughtful questions on each page to help children understand and memorize Scripture. Parents and caregivers will also find helpful tips for reinforcing the verse and suggested activities that connect Easter truth to everyday faith.
