About the Author
Amanda Wood was the founding editor and publisher of Templar for more than 30 years. In her time there, she published and nurtured numerous Kate Greenaway Medal winners, and edited and wrote groundbreaking series such as The Ologies, which have sold more than 19 million copies worldwide. Today she writes and runs her own small press from her home in Surrey, England. Vikki Chu is a freelance illustrator and pattern designer based in New York. While Chu enjoys experimenting with new techniques, and uses Photoshop for post-processing, she regards freehand drawing as the most important and enjoyable part of the illustration process. Bec Winnel is an accomplished Australian illustrator and artist. Winnel's portraiture combines the illustrative precision of a graphic artist with the sophistication and emotiveness of a painter. The ethereal quality of her work is the result of carefully accreted layers of mixed media including pastel, pencil, watercolor, metallic, and paper cuts.
Little Sloth doesn't like to be rushed. When the parrots squawk and flap about the jungle, Little Sloth simply hangs out, noticing the wonders of nature unfold . . . and eventually, his patience is rewarded when he is the only one to witness the most wonderful event of the year! The adorable Baby Animal Tales series features cute photographic animals combined with stylish illustrations, making these simple stories perfect for the youngest reader's bedtime or naptime.
