Jesus Forgives (True Story About Jesus)

In Luke 23 of the Bible, it tells the story of Jesus being crucified alongside two criminals, one on his right and the other on his left. These two thieves were also being punished for their crimes. As Jesus hung on the cross, one of the criminals mocked and insulted him, saying that if he truly was the Messiah, he should save himself and them. However, the other criminal rebuked his companion, acknowledging that they were being justly punished for their crimes, but Jesus was innocent and did not deserve to die. This criminal then turned to Jesus and said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.”

In response, Jesus spoke words of incredible grace and compassion, saying, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” Even in the midst of his own suffering and imminent death, Jesus extended forgiveness and salvation to this repentant criminal.
