Longing for Christmas: 25 Promises Fulfilled in Jesus, Advent Devotional for Teenagers

Longing for Christmas is a thoughtful Advent devotional that helps teenagers rediscover the joy of Christmas by tracing God’s promises throughout Scripture.

Created by Rooted Ministry, this twenty-five-day devotional invites teens to look beyond the familiar holiday season and consider the deeper longing beneath it—the desire for hope, healing, joy, and a world made right. By exploring the promises God made and fulfilled in the coming of Jesus, Longing for Christmas helps readers see that the wonder of Christmas is rooted not in nostalgia, but in the faithfulness of God.

Written by more than a dozen contributors, including Chelsea Kingston Erickson, Cameron Cole, Anna Meade Harris, Liz Edrington, and Kevin Yi, each short daily reading includes a promise, a Scripture passage, reflection questions, and a prayer. Easy to use throughout Advent, Longing for Christmas is a strong choice for teens who want to prepare their hearts for Christmas with gospel hope and biblical depth.
